When will the Dow Jones hit the bottom?
Published by Terence Mahier | Source

This is the question that has been on everyone's mind lately: When will the bear market end? 🐻

Fears about the coronavirus pandemic took more than 35% off the Dow Jones in March, the sharpest drop of its history. Last week, the Dow briefly climbed more than 20% showing signs of recovery πŸ’ͺ

But yesterday night, Trump was eventually forced to prepare Americans for a surge in coronavirus cases, saying the U.S. will face a β€œvery, very painful two weeks” & sending European markets in negative territory 😨

Investors are in the starting blocks to benefit from the post-crisis surge we've been promised. But when will this happen? πŸ€”

Extra Insights

The FOMO ("Fear Of Missing Out") of investors might bring the Dow Jones up earlier than planned but a lot of elements are still uncertain:

* First-quarter earnings season is about to start, and the impacts of the coronavirus will become clearer than they have been.

* It's unclear whether the pandemic is coming under control with an ever-rising number of cases worldwide, especially in the U.S.

* Even once the immediate threat of the coronavirus ends, there could be a long readjustment period before economic activity returns to normal levels
